Joan Eisenstodt

Joan Eisenstodt, whose expertise is in negotiations and contracts with meeting facilities and vendors, works diligently to create more inclusive, safe, and accessible events. Joan serves as a hospitality industry expert witness in disputes often involving event attrition and cancellation, and has done so for more than 25 years.

An Ohio native, Joan moved to Washington, DC in 1978. On June 1, 1981, she founded Eisenstodt Associates,LLC, a DC-based meeting consulting, facilitation and training company. Joan has immersed herself in the hospitality industry and is considered one of its most knowledgeable practitioners.

In addition to her industry and community volunteer service, she has been honored by the hospitality industry including being inducted into the Events Industry Council Hall of Leaders, the industry’s highest honor. Joan writes a monthly newsletter and periodic additional blogs for MeetingsToday (www.meetingstoday.com) and is a contributor to other trade and business publications.
