Jim Russell
Executive Vice President, Sales, The Freeman Company
As Executive Vice President, Sales, Jim Russell oversees the sales activities of one of Freeman’s fastest growing divisions designed to provide products and services that facilitate and deliver unmatched live experiences to associations and corporations. Jim began his career in Dallas at Bauer Audio Visual in 1990 where he gained and understanding of audiovisual services from the ground up. Eventually Bauer was sold into the organization currently known as PSAV and Jim extended his career there for over 20 years in total. During this time Jim held positions in sales and sales management, strategic account management, design and installation services management, and hotel service operations and management. A self-identified “gadget guy,” Jim also oversees the digital services team at Freeman Audio Visual that is tasked with providing industry leading digitally based offerings and leading Freeman innovation in this segment. Currently Jim serves the industry through active involvement in industry associations including as a member of the Meeting Professionals International Foundation Global Board of Trustees where he is currently the Chair of the U.S. Council.
