Professional Speaker, StoryMatters

After 15 years of building, training, supervising, and evaluating teams, I decided to curate what I’ve learned and take it on the road. Now I spend my days helping organizations and teams around the country solve problems, think critically, and achieve their goals.

In 2015, I compiled years of experience and research on vulnerability and authentic leadership and published my first book: Leading Imperfectly: The value of being authentic for leaders professionals, and human beings. I’m a professional speaker, personal coach, and entrepreneur. I’m also a trained stand-up and improv comedian. I’ve been speaking professionally to willing and unwilling audiences for years and have found that quality humor is the secret to hosting powerful conversations and making a real impact. My audiences leave happier and ready to take on their responsibilities and the world.

I do this work because I saw the power of authentic leadership first hand with the teams I led in my previous career. I created spaces where people could be themselves. In a field where turnover was high, the individuals on my team consistently came back. It wasn’t just because I was funny, it wasn’t because I was devastatingly handsome -- it was because I made them feel safe. I created a place for them to learn, to grow, to try, to fail, and to win.

And that’s what I’m here to do. Every single speech, workshop, coaching session, and conversation is founded in this principle: I want you to win.
