The past year sparked a wave of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the business ecosystem. Leaders in all industries have searched for the right thing to say or do as their employees emotionally process ongoing acts of systemic racial injustice.

Whether podcasts are used as conversation starters at our workplaces or as inspirations for your own practice, they are a great way to introduce a new model of learning that we have come to enjoy.

Podcasts are increasingly becoming a source of information and communication. Right now, there are more than 700,000 active podcasts and more than 29 million podcast episodes. According to Apple in 2018, these numbers stood at 550,000 and 18.5 million respectively.

There has been a staggering increase in both the number of new podcasts and the frequency with which new episodes are being uploaded. Podcasts offer a platform to share thoughts, opinions, research, and data in a flexible format that can be adapted and personalized. It creates an instant connection with the audience too.

In this episode of #RealTalk PHL Diversity & Tourism Diversity Matter Executive Director, Greg DeShields and CADAZO Consulting Group co-founder, Zoe Moore will discuss how podcasts can be an effective medium to hold your organization accountable to their expressed commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
