Lauren Peoples CGMP

Lauran Peoples is a firm believer in purpose and provision. She began her hospitality career as a hotel Front Desk Agent and knew immediately that her life's journey was rooted in service and hospitality. From learning the ropes as a Sales Manager for Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, and 21c Museum Hotels, to working as a Marketing Director for a boutique hospitality group, Lauran has always been driven by connecting people and ideas through hospitality. Transitioning into sales and marketing with DMOs, Lauran discovered a true passion for fostering connections and shaping the narrative of destinations. In her current role as Director of Sales Marketing and Business Development for Richmond Region Tourism, Lauran drives creative collaboration between Marketing and Destination Sales to develop new initiatives and partnerships that position the Richmond Region as a vibrant and inclusive meeting and convention destination. Passionate about connecting communities through advocacy, Lauran also currently serves as Co-Chair for Richmond Region Tourism’s internal DEI Task Force and recently partnered with other non-profits to form a local DEI collaborative. She lives in Henrico, Virginia and enjoys reading, Pilates, and good coffee.
