Mental Toughness – How to Build Resilence During Difficult Times
Speaker: Sylwia Rybak
The world in which we live is full of pressures and stressors. From the moment we wake to the time we go to sleep, most of us find ourselves responding to stress, pressure and challenge. For some of us that pressure is a driver. It stimulates us and we respond by aspiring to high performance. For others that same pressure will produce a different response, a stressful one. Today we are even more susceptible to stress due to the epidemic. If we want to respond smoothly and go through the epidemic time without severe mental consequence, we need to build our mental strength. We need to be more resilient and mentally tough.
Mental Toughness describes the mindset that every person adopts in everything they do and it is defined as: “A personality trait which determines, in large part, how people respond to challenge, stress and pressure, irrespective of their circumstances”.
The workshop will provide the opportunity to learn what mental toughness is, what elements are responsible for our mental strength and how to develop them if we feel sensitive in a particular area. It will give the participants the glimpse into becoming mentally tough.
