Active shooter scenario, medical emergency, natural disaster. How would you react?Event security experts say it is not a question of if but when.

Does this make you anxious? Maybe it should.
Are you prepared? Planning is key.

In what will certainly be a "must attend" educational event, security expert Mark Herrera will teach us how to think about event security and plan for the unexpected.

In the midst of a crisis is no time to try to develop a coherent response.

This session will provide an engaging, interactive experience for participants interested in event security. We’ll cover situational awareness, understand the resources available to protect public facility assemblies, and hear from subject matter experts on critical infrastructure protection to help you understand mass casualty incidents and preparedness during an event.

This session allows you to see how educating those involved in the planning and execution of a meeting or event has an impact on event participants.

Learning Objectives:

  • Create a mental mind shift to enhance awareness and provide the best in customer service
  • Increase personal safety and decrease stress when you meet someone uncooperative
  • Enhance conflict management to assist you in preventing confrontations from becoming violent situations
