1 Clock Hour | Domain F: Stakeholder Engagement

Uncertainty is everywhere and being able to minimize it is a key element of self-leadership and success. Being able to stay ahead of uncertainty is a great way to fuel self-confidence and minimize self-doubt.

Since age fifteen, when I was told I was going blind, I’ve dealt with constant transition and uncertainty. At a young age I developed my visionary approach to being in control of my future rather than just letting life happen to me. If we don’t learn to be adaptable and control our own future, then we’re choosing complacency and simply playing a cameo role as life unfolds around us. I explain how imagination, which I call my “inner movie”, is a powerful tool that can be used to stay a step ahead and gain more value and happiness out of each day. I talk about five ways your “inner movie” can be used to minimize uncertainty, build strong relationships, remove obstacles, and achieve dreams.

Attendees will walk away with tools they can immediately apply to their personal and professional life, and with the motivation to use these tools to implement changes they desire. Attendees also gain a new and important sense of optimism and gratitude and learn how to use these values as the cornerstone to happiness and the foundation on which to build their success.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will recognize a new level of internal and external awareness which will increase their practical intelligence and improve their ability to anticipate. Being able to anticipate others’ actions and reactions increases preparedness which builds self-confidence.
  • Attendees will critique their own behaviors and recognize the internal obstacles that may be getting in the way of achieving their goals. They will learn techniques they can implement to remove these obstacles in order to be the best they can possibly be, at home, at work, in life in general.
  • Students will infer the value of social intelligence and how to apply it, empowering them to build strong relationships.
