Michelle Allgauer CAE, CMM, CMP

Michelle Allgauer, CAE, CMM, CMP is the Senior Vice President of Education & Engagement for Financial Services Institute. She began her career on the hotel side before switching over to associations. Since then, most of her career has been spent in association management specializing in events and education. Michelle is a strong advocate for professional development and has achieved and maintained the following: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP); the Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM); ASAE's Business of Meetings Certification and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. Michelle is an active member of ASAE and Meeting Professionals International (MPI). She is the Past President of the Potomac Chapter of MPI and currently serves on MPI’s International Board of Directors. She continues to stay engaged within the meetings industry and currently holds several other leadership roles within meeting industry-related organizations, including membership in the San Francisco Self, Contained Advisory Council; Event Industry Council, CMP Governance Commission; ALHI’s Industry Executive Council, and she is also a member of MPI’s Finance Committee and Chair of the MPI Financial & Insurance Planners Advisory Board. She received her Bachelor of Science with a minor in Business from Ithaca College, NY.
