Maddalena Milone

Maddalena Milone has been working in the meeting industry for over 20 years: thanks to her field experience and passionate work, she has had many prestigious roles in the main sector associations.

Born in Irpinia, a land of values and traditions, while the world embraces the first notes of Imagine by John Lennon and the Americans are working tirelessly to launch the Mariner 9 to Mars. Giuseppina left her home town in Southern Italy to move to the captivating Amalfi Coast where she attended the Technical School for Tourism “Flavio Gioia”. It was while living on the coast that she met people from different countries and cultures and her passion for places and foreign languages was born. Her studies as an Interpreter and Translator took her to Rome, San Diego, Berlin, London, New York, Spain, France and Argentina. After becoming fluent in 4 foreign languages and acquiring competence on International matters by attending specific courses at the faculty of Political Sciences she took on a product development and marketing role in a Roman DMC, where she later managed incentive programs and special events. She was drawn to Florence by the offer to start up the DMC division for an important Tuscan Group and develop the Congress business unit. Her drive for international challenges was the reason why she got on board at Uvet American Express to head up the DMC and Congress division. Whilst developing business and relationships within the American Express network, acquiring national and international clients, managing events and conferences for the European Commission, pharmaceutical companies, European Associations such as the Standing Liaison Committee of Speech and Language Therapy, she opens up to new horizons by landing in the hospitality field and becoming Sales & Marketing Manager for the FH55 Hotels Group with 4 hotels and 2 conference centers in Rome and Florence.

Mother of three lively teenagers, professional, committed in volunteering with fundraising activities for projects in Burkina Faso for the Don Carlo Donati NPO, active member of MPI since 2012, Vice President of Membership since 2018 and at the service of the Meeting and Event Industry.
