DeShawn Wynn

DeShawn has more than 20 years of experience in the meeting and event industry. She has executed events for education, non-profit, corporate, religious and government agencies. In 2010, DeShawn established Wynning Touch Event Design—a company that specializes in strategic planning and content design.

DeShawn has volunteered for many industry organizations. Her involvement with MPI includes being the Vice President of Finance, for the Southern California Chapter, as well as serving as the former Co-Chair for the Meeting & Event Executives Community. DeShawn also serves on the Membership Committee for the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners (NCBMP).

DeShawn has a love for teaching. She currently co-leads the Meeting & Event Planning Certificate Program at California State University Dominguez Hills. She has also taught workshops at many other industry conferences.

She graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In 2010 she earned her Certified Meeting Professional Designation and has also earned the subspecialty in Healthcare.
