Wendy Marcellin-Burgess CMP, CMM

Wendy Marcellin-Burgess is the Senior Events Planner at the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO (AFSCME). She has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years with experience as a Convention Services Manager and Group Sales Manager at 4-star hotels in Washington DC. Wendy left the hotel industry15 years ago to join AFSCME’s Conference and Travel department. While at AFSCME, she earned her CMP and most recently her CMM.

Wendy is a people person and is known to go the extra mile to meet the needs of others.

She loves spending time with her husband Charlie and daughter Devyn but is most happy when she is surrounded by her entire family.
