Christian Savelli is the Vice President Research and Business Analytics for CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association). Before he joined CLIA, he served as Senior Director of Business Intelligence for MPI, Christian Savelli is responsible for developing business intelligence reporting across all aspects of the business. He conducts analysis and research on demographics and products to enhance the value MPI delivers to our members and community. Additionally, he demonstrates thought leadership by synthesizing input from multiple sources to deliver executive recommendations. Prior to joining MPI, Christian Savelli was Director of Business Intelligence for Maxvantage and Maritz Travel. For more than 12 years, he provided business intelligence support across Strategic Meetings Management accounts and was closely involved with designing cross account benchmarking analysis, aggregate reporting, market trend analysis, and predictive modeling. Before joining Maritz in 2000, Christian spent ten years in the hotel industry where he developed an expertise in yield management. Christian holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill. He also studied in France, his native country, where he earned a diploma in Computer Science. He is a former Certified Hotel Administrator and was recognized as the “Outstanding Graduate” by the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute in 1996.
