12 Clock Hours | Domain A: Strategic Planning

In celebration of Global Meetings Industry Day on Thursday, April 11, 2024, MPI will be hosting GMID: Virtual, a live, 12-hour broadcast featuring education and activities worth 12 clock hours at absolutely no charge to you! Given the global challenges that our industry has been facing, this is an opportunity to connect virtually to gain valuable education and resources to help our industry move forward stronger than ever before. 

The live broadcast will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (06:00 to 18:00) Central Standard Time and connect you with industry leaders from all over the world. This year's theme was "The Event Professional's Journey"

While the broadcast is FREE, we’re asking you to consider donating $10 towards supporting the efforts of the MPI Foundation. Throughout the broadcast, you will have the opportunity to hear how the MPI Foundation has made an impact.

About GMID

GMID began as Canadian National Meetings Industry Day, which was a 20+ year tradition in Canada created by the Canadian Chapters of MPI. It expanded to North American Meetings Industry Day in 2015 through the efforts of Meetings Mean Business. 2016 was the first global edition, continued to be led by Meetings Mean Business (which is now an arm of U.S. Travel). GMID is currently an initiative of Meetings Mean Business under U.S Travel; however, many industry associations, chapters and organizations host events in its celebration. MPI has hosted our annual 12-hour broadcast since 2018.
