Vito Curalli is the executive director of Canada, Latin America and international sales for Hilton Worldwide, overseeing sales operations located in six countries and an $8 million operating budget.
Curalli began his career in the hospitality industry more than a decade ago as the director of sales and marketing for the Royal Connaught Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Hamilton, Ontario, an AFM Hospitality Corporation hotel. He moved on to serve as AFM’s vice-president of development for Canada before joining Hilton Worldwide in 2004.
Curalli is a graduate of Ryerson University’s hospitality and tourism program, graduating with a bachelor of commerce degree. He earned an MBA at the University of Guelph and is currently working toward a master’s degree in finance through the University of Wales. He also completed the PDP program at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Curalli returned to Ryerson in 2008 and 2010 to teach courses at the Chang School of Continuing Education.
A recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for tourism efforts in Canada, Curalli sits on the board of the Hotel Association of Canada. He was also a director on the advisory council for Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and on Humber College’s advisory council for the School of Hospitality and Tourism. He participates in the Hilton Hotels Corporation’s mentoring program and is a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s transportation committee.
Curalli’s industry association memberships include Meeting Planners International, the Canadian Professional Sales Association and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
