Malinda Harrell serves as Director of Sales for Visit Raleigh. She has been a part of the Meetings and Conventions industry for 25+ years. She leads the sales team tasked with promoting Raleigh/Wake County as a meetings destination, directing strategic selling initiatives and key areas of economic business development. Harrell is an Industry Veteran and has served on the board of Meeting Professionals International– Carolinas Chapter. Her current service includes, Chair of Meeting Professionals International’s Global Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, Past Presidents Council and DEI Committee member for the MPI Carolinas Chapter and Board of Directors for Association Executives of North Carolina.
From job creation to tax generation, quality of place and broader economic development, she’s a huge advocate for the role tourism can play in shaping and bettering a community. To that end, Harrell firmly believes in the power that meetings, convention, and tourism overall brings to a destination in the fight Human trafficking.
