Heidi Longton CMP, CMM

Heidi Longton, CMP, CMM has spent 28 years in meeting management where she is best known for excellence in strategy and operations of association conventions and expos. She has served as adjunct faculty. Prior to that, Heidi was employed in the supply side of the industry in a variety of food and beverage positions.

Heidi has been an engaged member of MPI Upstate New York Chapter since 2004. She led the chapter’s Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) study group initiative for seven years before becoming a board member in 2013. In 2015 she served as chapter president. Her passion for continuing education within the meeting profession is exemplified by a scholarship established in her name toward the CMP designation.

Heidi is a founding core leader and member of MPI Global’s Association Planners Advisory Board, a Certified MPI Facilitator and an MPI Accredited Trainer. She holds a Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) and the CMP designation. Heidi is the recipient of three MPI chapter awards; the Industry Leader Award and two President’s Awards. She holds graduate and Bachelor degrees from the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
