Dianna Waldroup serves as the Vice President of Convention Services at Destination DC, the official convention and tourism organization for Washington, DC. With over 35 years of experience at the organization, Dianna leads a dedicated team that delivers expert guidance and essential resources to meeting professionals, helping to ensure the seamless execution of meetings and conventions of all sizes.

She also manages a team of more than 130 temporary staff—known as Redcoats—who provide critical on-site support at events, contributing to both operational success and revenue growth.

A respected industry leader, Dianna actively collaborates with hospitality professionals throughout the DC community and maintains strong ties with organizations like Destinations International and the Event Services Professionals Association. Her commitment helps ensure that meeting planners remain informed and prepared for evolving trends and policies in the events industry.

In recognition of her leadership and lasting impact, Dianna was named one of Connect Corporate’s “15 Over 50” in 2020 and honored with the 2025 Smart Women in Meetings Industry Leader Award by Smart Meetings, celebrating her outstanding contributions to the meetings and events profession.
